Lions president Tom Lewand said Wednesday morning that Suh was set to sign the deal before taking the field for the afternoon practice.
“We’ve officially agreed to terms,” said Lewand. “We’ve worked hard the last several weeks, in particular, the last several days. While we would have liked to do it earlier [and] I’m sure he would have liked to do it earlier, we’re just glad it’s done and over with.” Terms of the contract were not disclosed, but the Detroit Free Press has reported it to be a four-year deal worth $68 million with $40 million guaranteed.

The suspension follows Babineaux’s arrest last year on charges of possession of marijuana. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that Babineaux came to a plea agreement in July, and that the felony charge was downgraded to three misdemeanor counts of possession.
Babineaux will miss the team’s season-opener September 12 at Pittsburgh, and will be eligible to return to the active roster the following day. He will still be able to participate in preseason practices and games.

Terms of the deal were not made available, but the Cincinnati Enquirer reported it to be a five-year deal worth $15.85 million, with $9.6 million guaranteed.
“Jermaine is an exceptionally talented player at his position, even among first-round draft choices,” said Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis. “He’s also tough and a hard worker. He puts his talent to use. We expect him to make an impact on our offense this season.” The 6-foot-5, 261-pound Gresham did not play last season for Oklahoma after suffering a knee injury, but that did not dissuade the Bengals from using the 21st overall selection in the 2010 NFL Draft on him.
